Like many parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton have kids who are glued to the TV.
During an Oct. 9 event in London hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Art (BAFTA) and the Royal African Society, the Prince of Wales quipped that his children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—are "always wrestling over the remote," according to Hello!.
But William can see their point. After all, he believes that "screen arts are such an important part of the fabric of our lives, allowing different voices and perspectives to be accessed and enjoyed in the comfort of our own homes."
In fact, William noted in his speech that he’s “proud” to serve as president of BAFTA since the organization “is dedicated to breaking down barriers for the storytellers of the future,” per People.
As for his kids, they're captivated with all kinds of stories. Back in 2022, William shared that George is a fan of gaming, while his siblings "love the films."
"They're fascinated by it," the 42-year-old said, though noting that he and Kate, also 42, were "trying to regulate" screen time.
And William knows first-hand just how compelling video games are. When the PlayStation 4 was released in 2013, he called the gaming machine "very addictive" and joked that he was "not sure" if Kate would like one in their home.
As for other members of the royal family? Prince Harry is known to tune into The Crown, the Netflix drama centered around the British royal family.
"The older stuff," he told The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last year of what he has seen, "and the more recent stuff."
His wife Meghan Markle and aunt Princess Anne have also owned up to watching a few episodes, as has his cousin Princess Eugenie.
"The music is wonderful, the story is beautiful," she shared at a 2017 London event, per the Daily Mail. "You feel very proud to watch it. I can't speak for everyone but that's how I felt when I watched it."
